I have 2 questions about my laptops RAM
1.Will any laptop ram work with my computer
2.How many slots of ram does my laptop have (don’t have laptop on me at the moment, it is being repaired)

You can use a program like CPUID-CPUZ to identify your RAM information and how many RAM slots you have. If you do end up downloading CPUZ, click on the SPD tab and it will show you your memory information (unless your memory is soldered on board in which case it can't be upgraded like on this laptop I took the screenshot from). When buying RAM, at the minimum you should match frequency.

Hi,
I believe you mean the 15-db0011dx and not 15-db011dx
Anyway, it has one memory slot and supports max 8GB of DDR4 2400MHz which will run at 1866MHz. So, you can replace the 4GB module with a 8GB module.
