You can use a program like CPUID-CPUZ to identify your RAM information and how many RAM slots you have. If you do end up downloading CPUZ, click on the SPD tab and it will show you your memory information (unless your memory is soldered on board in which case it can't be upgraded like on this laptop I took the screenshot from). When buying RAM, at the minimum you should match frequency.

Hi,

I believe you mean the 15-db0011dx and not 15-db011dx

Anyway, it has one memory slot and supports max 8GB of DDR4 2400MHz which will run at 1866MHz. So, you can replace the 4GB module with a 8GB module.

Example:

https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-Single-PC4-19200-SODIMM-260-Pin/dp/B01BIWKP58/ref=sr_1_15?keywords=CT...

Service manual:

Hope it helps,

David

I asked another question before and the response said my laptop has a 4gig memory module and and open slot and I’m a little confused. Does my laptop have 1 or 2 slots of ram?

I missed the fact that your laptop has an AMD A6 processor and so therefore has a single slot not two. A9 and Ryzen models have two slots. Spelled out in the Manual

Thanks for clearing that up!
