Pavilion gaming laptop 15-cx0056wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Pavilion Gaming laptop 15-cx0056wm.  I'm looking to upgrade the RAM to the max of 16GB.  I already know 8GB of RAM came installed on the laptop and that there are 2 slots.  Is that 8GB of RAM that came installed on the laptop all in one slot with the other slot empty?  Or is there 4GB of RAM in one slot and 4GB of RAM in the other slot?

Hi:

According to the specs at the link below, your notebook comes with 1 x 8 GB, meaning the other slot is empty.
