Except I think my serial number is under the battery cover.  I can't find it anywhere else.

Do you have HP Support Assistant app installed on the computer? It will give you your serial number. It's also in the BIOS. Will the computer not turn on?

If you want to remove the bottom cover start on p. 44...there are screws hidden under the rubber feet. Except I do not think there is a serial number decal inside. It should be on the bottom of the laptop in very small print.

The computer turns on.  No problem.  I wanted to take the battery cover off to see if the serial number was hidden there.  I will try your suggestions and report back.  Thanks!
