HP Recommended
HP Pavilion Power - 15-cb050od
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This unit was purchased in October of 2018 and *would be* out of warranty; I have a case number to appeal warranty expiration and have a case # FWIW, no response except for that number since 3/20/2019.

Battery shows max of 75% charge regardless of how long it is on charge.

Sounds like maybe a shorted cell out of 4, maybe not, don't care.

Rather than wait for HP or waste time I thought I might research and just buy one. I have spent more than the device is worth in my time and do not relish the thought of replacing the computer but will if I must but not at my expense!

Best I can tell, the battery is HP PN 917724-855 battery, 4 cell 70 Wh 4.55 Ah LI SR04070XL-PL

...AAANNNNDDD not available in the HP Parts store. Sounds like I was sold a piece of excrementous plastic and metal. Please forgive the emotion post way too much time researching a solution.

I am an IT manager and MY laptop is the same model purchased a year earlier.

Please advise if you would be so kind.

Best Regards, TheAnt

So much to vent and just now found this: https://www.amazon.com/BattpitTM-Notebook-Battery-Replacement-917724-855/dp/B07H4ZXKZR

Still open to explanations. This is not a battery recall candidate.

Aopolgies again for the rantistic post...

...after all I did get a "Conversation Starter Badge". It's hard to be humble.

...and for that I get the "Responsive Badge"... ok, so this is funny, I feel all better.

It WOULD be great if I could get a warranty appropriate for my purchase date from HP. If I get that, I'm buying a lottery ticket.
