Hi,
My notebook had Sandisk A110 M2 2260 256gb ssd. I have replaced it with Intel 660P 512GB NVMe M.2 QLC SDD.
Before the replacement I re-installed the latest version of the BIOS and UEFI utilz. I created a live Windows 8.1 Usb and installed it. But it doesn't boot and gives an error:
"Boot Device Not Found.
Please Install an OS on your hard disk.
Hard Disk (3F0)"
What should I do? I am quite sure the hardware is able to detect the SSD since I am able to manipulate the hard drive partitions via live-linux tools such as GParted.

Let's reset the BIOS settings to default and check if that helps
-
Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
-
Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.
-
On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.
-
Press F10 to Save and Exit.
-
Use the arrow keys to select Yes, then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?
-
Follow the prompts to restart your Notebook
Also ensure the HDD is properly seating and detected by the Notebook

Yes I have tried that and the result is the same.
What I am gonna do now, I will create a live-linux usb stick then I will copy the EFI/BOOT section to the external hard disk sector wise, then re-copy this section to the new ssd again sector wise.
I will update the results.

It doesn't working. The thing is I don't know why but the hardware somehow doesn't/can't communicate with the ssd during the boot. But I can install windows or linux from live-usb which means the ssd is mountable.
Here, the same issue I think
