Serial number of the original hard drive if someone had replaced it

How to know the serial number of the original  hard drive , if it was replaced by someone and know if it was replaced by using the serial number of the original drive ?

hp can use different models for the same computer, so you probably won't be able to tell what was in place before replacement
You can see if it is an equivalent disc same characteristics
afterwards, it does not change much, if it is identical, but not the same model, if it is a good brand HDD

that's what I thought, the reference refers to several different brands

I myself advised in a tutorial how to change the HDD
We can easily see that if we use the HP reference, the price is very different
for an equivalent model, see the same brand, the price can be very attractive

Thanks a lot for your reply . Would like to share more details . My original hard drive was removed while the computer technician tried to fix the restart problem  .  Computer was slow and 16 octane memory details weren’t found in the disk drive details .

One of the posts in HP community read that the command prompt with which diskdrove get serial number helps . Tried that and the serial number was shown as WX 41A7 88Y82N. But the disk drive details show HGST HTS54101087E610 with driver date is 21/6/2006  

How do I check for the 16 optane memory details ?

It is possible that the technician did not reinstall everything correctly, there we cannot know what he did ..

I could download and run the crystal disk software to get the details of drives. Could find the serial number which I could see with the command prompt, But , couldn't see the 16 Optane memory , 

Completely agree with you that the technician didn't reinstall everything . Trying to get it done by a certified HP technician .
