I have the recall issue of the bulge under the keyboard of my spectre x360, and also pressing the bottom of the laptop out so it won’t sit flat and also the track pad. Clearly this must be the battery recall. I ran the HP battery recall utility on my machine, and it came back as my battery is working great!
My laptop is working fine for now, but the bulging is concerning, and I can't afford to have the laptop break on me.
I’ve read through the postings on here and others have gotten their issue worked out with HP. How do I start this process?

Don't mean to alarm you, but you are in a really dangerous situation with a swollen battery -- as it can overheat and severely damage the PC or you in the process. You need to get it replaced as soon as possible!
To start this process, please contact HP Customer Support and tell them you need a battery replacement.
To contact HP Support see the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:
Step 1. Goto this page https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
