I have the model a couple levels up, simular hardware, but the ultrabook look. I got the 128 and 500gb disks in my original order. Never opened it up. I've learned that the Ram pm mine is soldered in so I can't upgrase it anyhow. So I probably won't ever open it under warrenty or after. This is a long thread and back somewhere in it I think this was covered go back and review the thread. I gave up when I found out about the ram. Soory I can't be of more help.

Awesome Dixon84 - Looking at your instructions, I go the guts to buy this laptop without the second SSD in the keyboard module. And using your instructions, got a new samsung EVO 840 260 GB installed and everything is up and running fine..!! That was really good and hats off to your detailed instructions.
The only problem I ran into was that the model that was shipped to me did not have the port under the HDMI card to connect the SSD cable. My laptop was brand new, with the HDD kit and the SSD, and the keyboard open, I was stuck, not knowing what to do.
After a few calls to tech support, I found out that my laptop was made to order and it should have been ordered with the SSD, and since I did not order the SSD during the order process, the HDMI board did not have the connector. My case got escalated to a case manager Diane, who promptly shipped me a replacement HDMI board (She did not kow the part #, and after I gave her the part # 732287-00, she shipped it overnight free of charge!!
I got it today, fixed it and bingo..!! I no have all the storage I want.. Everything is back up working again..
Once again, thank you for your detailed instruction, I was able to get this upgrade done at home..!!
