Hi:

Looking at Chapter 1 of the service manual for your notebook and the Crucial memory report for your notebook, you can go either way--SATA or NVMe

Thank you. About sata or NVMe, which one would you choose for a daily usage? I still don't know which format is now installed( and also I don't know if the socket needs a B or a M keyed module). I can't open and watch by myself because the ssd will be a gift and I can't find more informations. In any case, Thank you.

You're very welcome.

Since I don't have either, I can only suggest you research into the subject.

I found this link which seems to indicate that the MVMe M.2 drive is clearly superior in performance to a SATA M.2 drive.

https://www.extremetech.com/computing/292522-sata-nvme-ssd-upgrade

Since the crucial report shows the compatible M.2 SSD's available that is all the info I can offer.

Since either drive is supposed to work in that model PC, all that should matter is that they are M.2.

Either type is going to fit in the slot.

I'll go with the Crucial NVMe. Your help has been really useful. Thank you, have a nice day.
