I intend to mostly use as a portable monitor and not sure how to use both connections because the monitor only has one port which is the USB C-Type.  Unless there is a device that has a DisplayPort and USB C-Type to a single USB C-Type port.  🙂

What you are describing is a Thunderbolt port. I am sure you have seen the manual.

Specs say it has all those other inputs but the manual only shows connecting it to usb-C. Have you tried loading the monitor driver referenced in the Manual? Your first post says all drivers loaded correctly so I guess you mean the monitor driver provided by AOC?

Not sure what specs say, but what is in the manual is what is actually on the monitor (one port).  I've had loaded all the drivers listed in the manual.

The specs are provided in the link you gave for the device. It does not say so but it looks like it needs a Thunderbolt port which carries a DP signal over USB-C and power at the same time.
