I don't think so. HP does not. Can you indicate me the complete model of the memory you are using?

Sure, here is a (dutch) screenshot of the specs of the G10 SO-DIMM.Screenshot 2025-02-19 085812.png

And I'm trying to expand the RAM with this SO-DIMM:

Unfortunately no change, system still doesn't boot. Just a black screen and fans going to 100%. 😕

if you leave a single memory either one of the two, it works ? or by swapping between slots

Unfortunately not, the laptop only accepts the factory installed module in slot 1. Moving it to any other slot results in not booting.

Some news. I was just able to use the SO-DIMM from another G11.

The SO-DIMMs were exactly the same brand and type, but unfortunately it still didn't work.

I placed the SO-DIMMs in slot 1 and slot 2 as the manual specifies; result is black screen and fans to 100%.

I placed the SO-DIMMs in Slot 1 and slot 3 (one SO-DIMM in position 1 of each memory channel); result is black screen and fans to 100%.

It's starting to look like there is something structurally wrong with these laptops.

try, when it is in black screen press ESC key several times.

Thanks again for your help!

I've tried pressing the esc key in numerous occasions but it doesn't do anything. The laptop doesn't boot far enough to enter the setup/bios.
