I have a compaq presario cq42, intel®pentium® CPU P6200 @ 2.13GHz
1.00GB RAM
250MB Graphics, intel® HD Graphics
298GB hard disk.
And my problem is my system is working very slow with my 64bit windows7 OS. And can I upgrade my RAM to 4 GB without changing anything else, or if I need to change anything please help me out.

You can also upgrade your CPU and replace your HDD with an SSD.
Just depends on how much $$$ you want to spend.
