Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

i have a HP notebook 14bw056au and would like to upgrade the ram. 
I opened up the laptop and located the RAM (4GB) and it looks like there is 2 places for RAM to be installed.

so my question is, do I leave the 4gb in there and install another 4gb or do I take out the 4gb and install an 8gb RAM In it’s place?

Hi:

 

I suggest you take a closer look at the the other memory slot.

 

Notebooks with the AMD A4 processors only have one memory slot and the max the slot can take is 1 x 8 GB.

 

Here is a discussion regarding a similar model 15-bw notebook and notice the other 'slot' cannot fit a memory chip.
