Hello, I own a HP Omen 15-ax210nd. The CPU in this laptop is not supported for a Windows 11 upgrade.
It is my understanding I need (at least) an 8th generation i5 processor to have a supported setup.
Does anybody know if the motherboard in this laptop supports a 'Windows 11 ready' CPU? The information on the HP website didn't gave me a clear answer.
Thanks in advance!

Hi:
The processor is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.
According to the service manual on your notebook's user guides page, there are no motherboards that come with Intel 8th generation core processors.

If you are interested in installing W11 on your PC as is, you can read this discussion for how I upgraded several HP and Dell notebook and desktop PC's that did not meet the W11 hardware requirements to W11 22H2/22H3.
You have to use the version of the Rufus utility that I zipped up and attached in the discussion (v3.18).

If the in-place upgrade fails, you should be able to clean install W11 using the bootable W11 installation flash drive you made with Rufus.
