IPOWER X9810
Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit)

Hi, I'm a bit of a technophobe so I hope somoeone on here can help!

I have an old IPOWER X9810 which I haven't touched for about 3 years as I replaced it with a new PC. Now my Grandson has come to stay and would like to play the Racing Car games on it that he can play on my Windows 10 Machine.  I bought the Windows 10 and key from Microsoft, but when I went to download it onto a USB (the older PC is upstairs and does not currently have internet access), it would appear that I could only upgrade from Windows 7 or higher.

I rang Microsoft for support, as I was going to ask for a refund if they said it wasn't do-able, but the first chap I spoke to said it would probably be okay and they would help me through it. So, he talked me through downloading the Windows 10 upgrade onto a USB Stick, which took a while to do so said he would call me back within an hour to continue the process.

Over an hour later, no callback.

So, I phoned Microsoft again and the next chap I spoke to said he could not confirm that my X9810 would be compatable.

He advised me to try and find out from HP whether or not it was compatable with Windows 10. So here I am.

I would be really grateful for any assistance or advice.

Many thanks.

Common error. That machine is Packard Bell which has nothing to do with Hewlett-Packard:

I found the specs for your machine on the web however and there is no reason it will not run Windows 10.

Here is the Packard Bell website with support for your machine...no Windows 10 drivers but I am sure you can find drivers for it:

Post back and we are happy to try to help.
