Hi all
Is it OK to use a none HP charger for my HP Envy x360 Laptop 14-fc0007nx (A24W1EA) as I lost its 65W type C charger as it isn't available in my town. The charger I purchased has 3 output ports, 1 with max 100W, 1 max 30W, both type C and 1 type A with 22.5W max
Is it OK to use for charging it or I have to get an HP 65W type C charger like the one came with notebook?
Thanks.

Hi @Thamer-KSA,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I can imagine how inconvenient it must be to lose your original HP charger, especially when you're in the middle of work and can’t find a replacement nearby. Let’s make sure your HP Envy x360 14-fc0007nx stays safe and powered up without risking damage.
Can You Use a Non-HP Charger?
Yes, you can use a third-party USB-C charger, but there are a few important conditions to ensure it’s safe and effective:
What to Check:
- Power Output: Your laptop originally came with a 65W USB-C charger. The third-party charger you mentioned has:
- 1 USB-C port with 100W max – ✅ This is safe and sufficient.
- 1 USB-C port with 30W max – ❌ Too low for your laptop.
- 1 USB-A port with 22.5W – ❌ Not suitable for laptop charging.
- USB-C PD (Power Delivery) Support: Ensure the charger supports USB-C PD 3.0 or 3.1. This is crucial for safe voltage negotiation with your laptop.
- Cable Quality: Use a high-quality USB-C to USB-C cable rated for 100W (5A/20V). A low-quality or underpowered cable can cause slow charging or even overheating.
Risks of Using Non-HP Chargers
- Inconsistent charging or no charging if the charger doesn’t properly negotiate PD.
- The battery wears over time if the voltage/current delivery is unstable.
- No HP support for damage caused by third-party accessories.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!

Greetings and thank you for your excellent support.
I have another question and truly appreciate your feedback.
1- What or how to find a maintenance guide doc that list the P/N for my laptop that will provide the P/N for HP original charger?
