I want to upgrade my laptop's ram and install a caddy SSD of 500GB but as I searched on internet some sites says that my laptop doesn't have secondary slot for ram and some says that it has and you can see that in screenshot it is written that it has 2 slots so I want to use another 4GB RAM in that space and want to use 500GB ssd as caddy in it. Can I do that?Screenshot (117).png

Hi:

Notebooks with the Intel® Pentium® N3710 processors only have one memory slot and the max memory that slot can support is 1 x 8 GB.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the memory upgrade info in chapter 1 on pages 2 and 3.

I don't recommend installing a SSD in a caddy.

Replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SSD and if you must, move the 2.5" mechanical hard drive to a caddy and use it for storage only.

Thanks for your help sir, I put the SSD in the main slot and install the HDD in the caddy as storage. But just an hour before your reply 4 GB RAM got delivered and that can't be returned. The system is fast from previous performance after using SSD. Again thanks for the help.

You're very welcome.

Yes, a SSD definitely peps up the performance.

You may want to go for that 8 GB memory chip and max out the memory for even more performance.
