Hi:
The drive will fit in the slot, even though it has two notches. One notch goes where the key is in the slot and the other notch just doesn't make any contact with the pins on the other side of the M.2 slot.
The part where he is installing the M.2 SATA SSD starts around 8 minutes into the video.

Hello,
Thank you for your response. So I have fit it into the slot and screwed it down so that it is horizontal, but the laptop does not boot anymore. Once I take it out it works fine again. Does it matter which side of the SSD is facing up?
Thank you,
Adina

Unfortunately, I don't know what the problem could be.
You are sure you have properly installed the drive in the slot?
Some folks manage to install the drive below the slot and not in the slot.
The drive should easily slide into the slot at a slight angle, and you just push it down to screw the holddown screw in.

Hi,
So, interestingly, I now inserted it the other way around, with the blue sticker facing towards the motherboard and the laptop booted, The WD Blue does not appear under PC Devices and Drives but appears in device manager... I will now proceed to try to clone my OS onto it. Thank you!

You're very welcome, Adina.
That's very interesting because even in the video I posted the guy installs the drive with the label facing to him.
Whatever works is what matters.
Glad you got it to show up.
Why you can't see the drive in Windows...you have to initialize it first.

I don't think you need to do that if you are cloning the drive but if you want to see it in 'This PC' that is what you need to do.

Hi Paul,
So I have cloned the HDD to the SSD... I can open it and see it under windows... my last big issue is with booting from ssd... Under UEFI the SSD does not appear on the list of boot order... under Legacy&UEFI it does but when I select it to boot from it I get the error "no bootable device - insert boot disk"... I am already surprised it shows under Legacy because when I check it the SSD claims to be a type GPT not an MBR... What can I do so that it boots from tHe SSD? Can you please help still please? thank u.
