Hello

check in Device Manager the Hardware ID of your camera.

if it's VID 0BDA PID 5852

you must update the firmware of the camera

in order to do it download on your PC disk this PDF file and follow the instructions:

I'm not sure where to find the Hardware ID of the camera, but I do see a matching letter/number combo in the Events Info of USB Boot.

I think your link might be broken. It leads me to a blank pdf.

Hello

AT this post you find the instruction about how to find an hardware ID:

https://www.devicedriverfinder.com/blog/device-drivers/how-to-check-the-hardware-id-for-a-windows-de...

the link https://support.hp.com/wps/hp-skp-portlets/document/manuals/inline/c06644493.pdf is working but it's a little strange. it's a PDF file containing the camera firmware. you must find a way to save it on the harddisk.

try different browser such as FireFox or Chome or InternelExplorer or Edge, until you are able to save the file to harddisk and open it with Acrobat Reader.

When I download the link and open with Adobe Reader, Reader says the file cannot be opened because it's not the right file type or it's damaged.

Hello you are right . it's 0 Kb.

But I can tell you that last week it was fine.

I will check tomorrow if file will work or not.

Hi, I have the same issue on the new probooks 445 G7 so far 10 of them are giving me the same error 80070018 in the camera app, showing as USB boot in the device drivers , even after successfully installing the Correct HP driver for the camera.

According to the multiple threads over the internet  windows 10 combability or updates could be an issue. Can you please confirm and advise of the correct update or device firmware to use ?

Thx
