HP ProBook 470 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear Community,

I wanna use 2 displays over the HP G5 docking station. One of them is a 4K, so I have to enable the "alt mode". But on my HP ProBook 470 G5 (Productnumber 4QW96EA#ABD) I am unable to enable the switch "Enable High Resolution mode when connected to a USB-C DP alt mode dock" in BIOS. If I click on that switch, just a new empty screen will be opened with just a single "ESC"-Button option. Is this a bug in the current BIOS-Version? The BIOS version is Q85 Ver. 01.12.00 from 07/29/2020. I am thankful  for every help.

With regards

DiebBlue

The problem could be idendificated. Click on "Enable High Resolution mode when connected to a USB-C DP alt mode dock" opens an additional confirmation window. If BIOS language is set to english, this will be showed correctly. But my BIOS language was set to german and the confirmation window doesn't contain any text or selection button. Nevertheless by pressing the down arrow key and enter the alt mode can be activated also with german language settings.
