So, would you guys say that a safe bet would be this:

Marca G.Skill

serie 4GB DDR3 204-pin SO-DIMM

Peso articolo 200 g

Dimensioni prodotto 5 x 5 x 2 cm

Numero modello articolo F3-8500CL7S-4GBSQ

Fattore di forma 204-pin SO-DIMM

Dimensioni RAM 4 GB

Tipologia di memoria computer DDR3 SDRAM

Voltaggio 1.50 volt

I can get it from Italy.

If I get one 4GB bar as a tester, would I be able to run it with one of the 2GB already in one of the slots, for a total of 6GB? (something that I've done on my wife's HP DV6 with DDR2).

If it has 8 little black memory chips on each side of the circuit board like the link I posted, it might work.

Just wanted to let you all know that the G-Skill Ram worked on my HP DV6-2147el. I've added an extra 4GB module and will add another, now that I know it works.

Thanks everyone for your help in resolving this.
