HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 17-cd0077nf
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

French question - english question after french question

-----------------------

Merci
Sylvain

-----------------------

I bought an HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 17-cd0077nf laptop in January 2020.

I June 2021 the external power supply jack connector had some play with the laptop connector and did not fit fully, there were random contacts, the battery was not charging correctly depending on the position of the external power cord. .

I thought it was the computer's internal connector.
I opened the computer and noted the spare number of the power cord which is L52815-F41.
I ordered the L52815-F41 cable which is identical to the original one (length, motherboard connector and visually the external female connector) but the jack connector of the external 220V power supply does not fit into the female connector of this new one cable (test done before installing the new cable in the computer).
I tried to insert the external power supply jack into the female connector of the cable ordered by drilling a little. I felt a click and as a result my external power supply had no electrical contact with the computer

I thought I broke it so I ordered a 135W HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec0007nt 15-ec0052nu Original Charger External Power Supply (FR-HP-19.5V-6.9A-HU-4.5-3.0mm-1199). This power supply is identical to the original one and works correctly once inserted into the computer to charge the battery.
This new power supply does not fit into the female connector of the new cable L52815-F41 ordered.

My question is: is it normal that an HP cable with the same SPARE NUMBER is different from the original one with the same spare number?
Is there a subtlety about the hardware of this laptop game serie?
Thank you
Sylvain

Hello Praveenbv,

As i did not found any article on specific size or bad size for my cable, i tried to insert my charger not directly but by twisting the "jack" and it can be inserted without damage.

Thank you for, your help

Sylvain
