HP Pavilion - 15-cw0505sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello! Hope everyone is well! I was wondering if anyone can help me with my laptop hardware upgrades. My current Laptop is HP Pavilion 15. Although, in my laptop system it says that my laptop is called "HP Pavilion 15-cw0xxx" here when I used HP website to detect the product, it came up as "HP Pavilion - 15-cw0505sa" so I'm quite confused. I was originally planning on  upgrading the laptop specs for better performance, my current RAM is 4GB, I planned to increase it to 16GB, upgrade my GPU and SSD. Can my motherboard handle that or should I just save up to buy a new one?

I work in the gaming industry so I require a laptop with better specs. Please let me know if I can upgrade it and if so can you recommend me some of the compatible components I would really appreciate it!

Hi:

You can upgrade the memory.

The GPU is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

You could also replace the 128 GB SSD with one of a larger capacity.

If it is a SATA M.2 SSD, you could upgrade it to a NVMe SSD, which provides faster read/write speeds than SATA.

Below is the link to the Crucial memory report for your notebook.

It has two memory slots and you can install up to a 16 GB memory chip in each slot.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure.

Your exact model is a 15-cw0505sa, which is part of the 15-cw0xxx model series.
