I had the exact same issue with my HP spectre x360. Two of my keys have now rubbed off. It's very disappointing since the rest of the computer is holding up wonderfully. My laptop is out of warranty, where would you suggest I purchase a new keyboard and how should I go about getting it switched out for my current one?
Thank you.

Hi! @Kgthibault, Welcome to HP forums.
I understand you have keyboard issues with your laptop.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any software or hardware changes on your laptop?
Please provide the product number of your PC to assist you better.
As you mentioned the paint on the keys of your keyboard are wearing off.
You could purchase replacement keyboard stickers as an alternative. These are stick-on letters to replace worn keys on a keyboard.
Most computers these days come with stick-on letters, so it is not really that far-fetched.
Even the painted on letters can rub off -- how fast can depends on the individual.
Or you can purchase the replacement keyboard from HP part store or by contacting HP support.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
