I would like to increase the memory on this laptop from 4 GB to 8 GB.  After looking at the specs i bought what i thought should work - 2 4 GB memory sticks.  when I remove the cover for the memory sticks I can see only one card.  The installed card is 2 GB and the OS indicates 4 GB.  Is there 2 GB somewhere onboard this laptop. The specs has the following paragraph "Standard: DDR3 PC3-10600 SDRAM (1333 MHz)1 Two SODIMM slots supporting dual-channel memory 1024MB, 2048MB, 3072MB, or 4096MB

Maximum : Upgradeable to 8192MB with 4096MB SODIMMs in slots 1 and 2
Dual-channel: Maximized dual-channel performance requires SODIMMs of the same size and speed in both memory slots" indicating that i should see two cards slots.  I'm very confused.

Looks like the other slot is under the keyboard. Please try the following manual

You are correct I found the second memory card under the keyboard.  Thank you very much for your suggestion.
