getting this error "The os couldnt be loaded because a required file is missing of contains error"

You likely have a bad hard drive or Windows has gotten corrupted by a power surge or something like that. You don't give us the model of the laptop so our ability to help is limited. You can possibly boot the computer from a bootable Windows repair thumb drive and run a chkdsk and it may fix the errors in the boot sector.
