Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
Hp Pavilion g6-1d70us.
The battery indicator says "Plugged in, not charging" and the led by the charging port blinks switching between white and red lights.

I eventually resolved the problem by trying an adapter with a higher wattage(120W) and all is now well. Thanks.

Usually when battery post that is not charging mean it is broken. becuse system found it but is unable to load it. Another posibility is that connections with battery got short .
When possible place same model of battery when known to be good and check is it loading. When yes - battery dead. Buy a new one or new replacement battery.
