what is best for the livecycle of the battery: connect the laptop continuous to the power or not?

The best way is to avoid charging battery. I keep my machines on main nearly 100% and I did post my findings few years back using around 200 machines in our BCP room where all machines ON and on main 100%, they were on UPS too that means always ON.
