I have been informed that my HP Envy 17T-K200 CTO probably has a broken motherboard. When I searched the HP Part Store I learned that there are two boards listed. They are part number 793272-601 and 793272-501. The parts store also tells me that I must "Contact Reseller". I assume this means that the part is not available from HP. OK, so I send a request to the "reseller" and learn that part number 793272-501 is not available. I wrote back and asked about 793272-601 but have not had a reply.
Now the question is - if the Motherboard is broken and if this "reseller" cannot supply the part, where can I go to purchase the needed replacement?

Hi there @beet-trucker,
You had mentioned trying to use the HP Part Surfer to find the part number 793272-601 and/or 793272-501 to replace your Motherboard as it is probably broken. I did manage to find the MOTHERBOARD UMA i7-4720HQ PRO with the Product Number of 793272-601 on the HP Part Surfer. However, I would suggest that you use the following link to create yourself a case number and contact us so that we can assist you better.
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear.
They will be happy to assist you immediately.

EmeraldAvenger pointed me to the correct place on the HP Website. The result is that about the only place that will supply the motherboard is HP Repair. The cost structure is horrible! In addition it makes no sense at all. Let me be specific.
I can send the computer to HP Repair at a cost of $380 and will receive a "huge" 90 day warranty! WOW.
I can purchase part number 793272-501 for $461 or if I return the faulty board the final cost will be $369. AND NO Warranty! WOW WOW
I can purchase an upgraded board part number 793272-601 for $480 or if I return the faulty board the final cost will be $384 AND NO Warranty! WOW WOW WOW.
On the other hand the only place that even thought the board could be ordered quoted a price of $69 with no assurance that they could obtain the part any time soon if at all.
Not much choice is there ? But now I guess that I consider the issue resolved. Why there is such a limited warranty on computer products, I will certainly never understand.
Thanks again to Emerald Avenger

I had not heard about "Impact Computers". A proper mother board was never found for my computer even after sending to HP repair. As of 9/19 HP is replacing the "unrepairable" computer.
Glad you found what you needed
