I learned that hp uses a white list of compatible devices that can be used to upgrade your laptop. google does not provide results on the whitelist, so I can't verify that this restriction really exists on my laptop. I was also looking after my BIOS version (F.60) no results. user's manual gives two options of Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 (present in the computer) and Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265. I have a fast Internet connection ~ 500mbit and I would like to use them fully via wifi, but the current card module does not allow it. Can I use the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 9260 or other card module that supports bandwidth above 500Mbit?
in this thread:

this operation was successful, the computer in which the modification was modified has a 6generation processor, in my is the i5-7200u.

Hello, I finally solved the topic myself. AX200 wifi card works with my laptop. I consider the topic closed.

Hi:
What model wifi adapter does your notebook have now?
If it is the Realtek 8723BE or DE, there is only one antenna cable attached to it, and the cards you referenced require two antenna cables.
If that is the wifi card you have, you can do a direct swap to this card...
Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.
This card works with only one antenna.
The only place I have been able to find this model is on eBay.

The Realtek 8821CE wifi card will have a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router.

Sorry that I missed that.
I'm pretty sure that your notebook has a BIOS whitelist, so you can try the Intel 9260 Non-Vpro adapter.

my question: will it work? he referred to the white list, unfortunately uncle Google does not provide any information, so I can not verify whether the AX200 will bypass the white list or not. If HP already uses such a list, then as a customer I should know about these restrictions before purchasing.

I don't work for or represent HP.
HP does not publish any info regarding what models have BIOS whitelists.
To the best of our knowledge there isn't one, but that doesn't mean any wifi adapter in the world that fits in the slot is going to work.
For example: the Intel 9560 AC card WILL NOT work.
So...since no one that I know of has installed the AX200 in the 250 G6, you can be the first one to let us know if it works or not.
If you don't want to risk the money to do it, then don't upgrade the wifi card.
Good luck.

You're very welcome.
I'm thinking you have a good chance of it working.
The reason the 9650 doesn't work is because it is a companion RF (CRF) card.
It is not a complete wifi card in one package. It also uses the processor for wifi, and your notebook's processor does not support this technology.
So you need a traditional dedicated card like the 9260, or 7265 or whatnot for the card.
I looked up any info I could find on the AX200, and it seems to be a complete wifi card like the 9260, so that is why I think it should work.
