Hello All,
Over the weekend, I've updated the BIOS to version F.30. Since then, my laptop has been lagging significantly. Originally, I thought it was the browser Chrome that was causing the lag, however, other browsers including Firefox and Edge were also lagging. Other apps were also lagging as well, so I've shut down the computer and reboot it and it was still lagging. All of my drivers are up to date. I've even tried to reset the computer to its default settings yet the lagging continues. I want to say it's the BIOS update because prior to it, I've never had any lagging issues. At this point I don't know what else to do. How can I get my computer back to normal?

Can you post the Product number of your laptop? Are you in the US?
The document here tells you how to find Product number if you need it:

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forum.

Hello too,
I have a laptop from the same series as you and i updated to BIOS F.30 two days ago. My laptop has started lagging since then too so i guess it's a problem with all of us. If you find any help could you please please share it with me? Hope this problem ends soon for both of us.

Unfortunately, I do not have a solution to the lagging issue. Only thing I can tell you is that today, they sent a box to me that I can send the laptop back. Afterwards, they sent me a gift card to get the laptop replaced.
Again I apologize.
