Hi
i have a windows failed to start error and am unable to find my installation disc
file: \boot\bcd
status: 0xc000000f
info: an error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data.
please can someone give me some advice how to resolve this, can I download a copy of the installation disc or is there a way to get into it

You must have a newer model probook that came with a newer version of W7 Pro with downgrade rights from W8, 8.1 pr W10 pro. Those won't have W7 product keys.
What model Probook do you have, or what product number is it?
The product number can be found on the same label as the serial number.
Please do not post the serial number.

You should be able to find the product number or model number in the BIOS's system information window.
Turn on the PC, tap the ESC key to get the menu of options.
Select the F10 setup option and press the enter key.
You should be able to find some identifying info there regarding the product number or model number.
