I am also having left hinge issue!!!!! Now the video isn't working properly!!!! Hp needs to be accountable for their defects!!! Checking into a Dell since Hp will not step up to the plate and repair their on going issues.

Has anyone had recent luck getting in touch with HP about this issue? I am expericing the same thing. I tried to call their 1 (800) 474-6836 number and was only given the option of going back online or an odd paid help option. My computer screen has been affected, I can only see my mouse on a black background, so I have no way to pull my photos and documents off the computer without repairing it. I'm probably going to just buy a whole new laptop at the end of this. Also, did anyone ever find out if there was a recall or other solution since this is so widespread?
