I have had the same problem recently. I solved the problem by going into the simple pass program and then the settings cogwheel and while in there I unchecked all the options. It worked like a charm and I didn't have to delete the program as a whole after HP gets it working right!

Wow, Great catch!!! Worked like a charm. 🙂

Can you tell me how actually you found out that Simplepass was the one to blame?

I don't know how to fix the overall problem with HP simplepass but if you if you follow these steps you can fix the flickering whiile keeping most of the simplepass functionality.

1. Press "Windows" button on keyboard.

2. In search bar type "simplepass".

3. Select "HP SimplePass".

4. After program has loaded, enter password or swipe finger to log in.

5. Click on Personal Settings in top right of window (looks like a gear or cog).

6. Un-check LaunchSite.

7. Click OK.

8. Enjoy relief of frustration!!!

If there are any problem with these steps or if they are unclear let me know in a reply.

Hi, I have Windows 10, and there is no search bar when I hit the Windows button.  There is a search Icon on the task bar in my Windows 10.  Just a heads up here.  If you have someting different let me know, or if there is a configuration for the Windows button that includes the search, let me know!  Again, thanks foryour efforts.
