hp compaq 6005 pro microtower

I am wondering, since this is an old model, how do i change the graphics card on the hp compaq 6005 pro microtower (if i need to replace it to place a new one) where do i place the new graphics card, and how? I have been doing research for maybe two hours but i dont know alot about computers...

You're very welcome.

 

According to the specs, you can install 4 x 4 GB of memory.

 

You can put the 4 GB chip in either of the 2 empty slots you have.  I would put it in the 3rd slot.

Hi:

 

I would get a used  but tested and working AMD Radeon HD 6570 or Radeon HD 6450 on eBay.

 

The HD 6570 is more powerful than the HD 6450.

 

You can get one pretty cheap nowadays.

Do i have to specify ddr3 for the graphics card?

The graphics card has its own onboard memory, and has no bearing on your PC's memory.

 

Suggested cards...These were the cheapest I could find from sellers with good feedback...

Yes.

 

That one should be fine.

 

It is going to cover the battery and one of those smaller black PCIe x 1 slots though.

 

The video card in the black slot next to the white one at the top of the picture, so it is going to be a tight fit.

Yes, you can move the wireless card to the other little slot next to it.

 

Where are the antenna cables?  Did you take them off?
