Hey,

Thanks for replying.

My bad, I thought that you were going to be downgrading. The only drivers available for this particular Notebook are Windows 10 drivers as you know. I cannot guarantee that Windows 7 will work properly on the Notebook. You can use the HP Support Assistant and Windows Updates to attempt to obtain the most compatible drivers for Windows 7, but I would not be able to provide you with a guaranteed yes or no response.

Have a good day :).

Hey @Kashivishwanath

I understand that you would like to purchase the HP Notebook - 15-ba025au but want to be able to downgrade it to Windows 7.

As this system comes with Windows 10,  downgrading could be challenging. Drivers are not available for Windows 7 systems and you would be missing some of the special features. Here is a link so you can understand your downgrade rights (although it does say for Windows 8, it is the same for Windows 10).

If you decide to go ahead with the downgrade, here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it may help you find the software and drivers for your system that need updating to run with Windows 7.

Generally speaking, if the Notebook PC does not get upgraded to Windows 10 from a different Operating System and instead Windows 10 was a clean installation, it is very hard to downgrade to a different operating system.

I hope that I answered your question. If I did, please let me know by clicking the 'Thumbs up'.

Have a great day!

Hi,

I am not trying to downgrade windows from 10 to 7. The device comes with DOS and I would like to install Win 7. But the HP website has Win 10 drivers only. Please advise.

Thanks,
