Hello,
I purchased a new HP laptop about 3 weeks ago, and while looking trough the "HP Assistant" and My Account, I noticed that its specified that my laptop has JUST 9 months warranty left. I just bought the laptop and it actually has 24 months of warranty (that's how its written in my warranty papers provided by the store).

Also, I bought the laptop on September 13, 2019, and on my My Account it says that my warranty started on June 06, 2019 and it will end at July 05, 2020.
What should I do to make the HP database recognize my laptop as a laptop with 24 months warranty?
Thank you!

Hi

The clock starts when the PC leaves the factory.

Can be reset as Born On date by registering and running some updates etc.

Your Born On date should match with your Dated Sales Receipt.

In the EU you have a 2 year warranty with the Seller, who may or may not be the manufacturer.

The "Born on" date from Bios its accurate. Practically the date when I purchased the laptop. All okay here.

My concern is in "My Account" on the hp official website. Here its written specifically about the warranty that started in June, and I purchased the laptop in September.  (aka 9 months left...instead of...24 months left..right?)

Thanks for your reply though. Cheers!

Hi

I have flagged your post as needing some help.

I will re-iterate the difference between a seller and manufacturer warranty, although they both must start on the same day, to match your sales receipt.
