Hello @UncleScotty
(1) Download and install from Microsoft Apps Store
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows
or
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows v1.8.2.0
(2) Perform All Tests
(3) Please report your results ( error messages, take pictures/screenshots )
( if serial number, device id, UUID, System Board CT Number is displayed, please blur )

My System Tests seem to have been successful......
But the run button on my Component Test screen is grayed out...as you can see in the bottom right corner.
Is there some way to "allow" these tests to run?
Are there any other tests I should be performing?
I'm using v. 1.8.3.0 Is that OK?

Hello @UncleScotty
v. 1.8.3.0 is ok.
Expand the Component tests and check [x] each test, then click run button.
I want to know the results of Power Component tests:

Hello @UncleScotty
According to the report, you do not use a genuine <HP> battery.

"
Overall, the report is good.

I trust, however, that the charging circuitry in my HP computer is not so intelligently designed that it has a "loyalty" factor built in that disqualifies any buyer of a NON-HP battery from ever being able to charge it properly? LOL
So.....any ideas as to what my problem might be?

NP, Ub.
We can only do what we can. You gave it a good try, and I appreciate it.
Any tips on where/who I should try next? (Perhaps the shop I bought the battery from?_ Although I'm pretty sure has charged up properly many times since it was installed. I'm suspicious that an update of Windows may be more likely to be the culprit.)
Thanks for any tips, if you have some.
Cheers!

Hello @UncleScotty
Do you still have the old original <HP> battery lying around ? If so, please send a detailed photo of the battery identification.
