I've had this computer for a month and so many times I've almost thrown it out the window. I can be sitting across the room from this thing and for some unknown reason it just clicks onto websites on it's own. I dont even need to be near it. If this thing clicks onto some porn site, I'm going to get seriously mad. I'm going to get my old Vista machine running again, at least I felt some control over it.

Hey @arcosteve,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see that you are having some issues with your envy notebook. I can help you with that, however I am going to need to know the model number of the notebook first. If you are not sure what model you have, click here. Also, please let me know what browser you are using and if you have this issue with other browsers. Once I know this I will be better able to assist you.

Alright, next question: do you have the touch screen enabled or disabled when it is loading these pages? If it is happening when the touch screen is disabled, open Edge and see if you have the same issue while browsing from Edge. This will help me narrow down your issue. If it resolves your issue, please click on Accept Solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. Both icons are below this post.

This thread outlines how to disable a touchscreen. The directions were designed for older models, but the directions should be the same.
If you are still having this issue, the next thing to do would be to run an antivirus or malware program to check if your browser is having issues.
Please let me know if this resolves your issue.

Went to control panel and found "pen and touch" which does not have any way of disabling the touchscreen. I guess someone at HP thinks that touchscreens are a good idea. Also, I have Webroot internet security installed and just ran a scan with it.
