I own 2 HP Pavilion x360 Convertible laptops and both have the same issue. The touchpad on the device no longer works. The driver is the I2C HID Device (under Device Manager) and on both laptops, it's the same message. "This device cannot start. (Code 10). A request for the HID descriptor failed. I've tried updating the drivers and factory resetting the devices. Nothing works. If this was only happening on 1 device... you could say it's something on the device. With 2 of the same devices (all up to date with Windows updates) and still having touchpad issues... this seems to be a manufacturer defect. What can be done? Is it possible to fix this? Has anyone had success. I've seen some message boards where the device is fixed for 2 months and then the problem re-appears. I'm looking for a long term fix. Any advice or suggestions are appreciated.
Thank you,
