Hi Samed.

it wouldn’t work for me either.

I was wondering if I was missing a trick or did something in the wrong order.
It is frustrating.

If anyone has any ideas of what we could have missed, please shout. Thanks.

After installing the new drivers I switched of the Docking station (by disconnecting the electracable) and disconnected the laptop from the docking Station. After 20 seconds I reconnected the docking station (electra and connection with laptop).

maybe this helps?

Thank you.

That definitely has to be worth a go.

I'll try it at the weekend, when I'm not delivering training.

Best wishes

Hi, do you mean you unplug and replug the docking station into the USB-C plug of your laptop ?

I'm not sure what the electracable mean ? I tried to google it but no luck.

Can you please clarify ?

Many thanks for your help

Samed

Ha SamedB,

With electracable I meant powerplug. Translation error.

Mine was working until the most recent updates for intel + nvidia card then it stopped working. I'm wondering if can downgrade to the previous version that was working.  Anyone else have issues with it working and then not working?

Also re poster with Tsupy, i had issues w/ that one before in the past, I bought a VAVA 9 in 1 from amazon and it was working fine (with a usb-c charger from rav power, 90 watts to supply power) until the most recent graphics update.

So for everyone above who posted that the new intel + nvidia drivers didn't work. I can now confirm that downgrading to the following versions that Einarimente mentioned work. If you install the new ones, it no longer works again.  Google these specific ones, download and install them. If it asks do you want to overwrite the new ones, say yes:

Intel® UHD Graphics 630 driver from Intel, version 27.20.100.8783 dated 9/24/2020, and Nvidia version 27.21.14.5638 dated 9/14/2020.

If for some reason you cannot find it (ie if someone is reading this months or years later, I've backed them up here:

Thank you everyone for your help with this.

I was struggling with it for ages.

The drivers that seemed to work for everyone else wouldn't work for me and I had to install the latest NVIDIA drivers (rather than the September ones) plus the Intel one (the suggested one worked).

I then unplugged everything and restarted my Spectre, plugging things in 1 by 1.

It still wasn't working so in Display Settings, I stopped extending my desktop, re-extended it and it then worked.  I thought I'd test it (as I didn't trust it to be a fluke after everything I've tried) and after 3 shut downs, it still works, so I'd say it is fixed.

Thanks everyone.

Best wishes.

Thank you.  This along with unplugging everything, restarting, downloading the latest NVIDIA drivers and plugging back in made it work.  I wouldn't have got there without your post though.

Thank you. This with the new drivers as suggested earlier (and then the newer NVIDIA driver) has worked for me.

Thanks for the solution.
