Hi,
I have an HP 15S-FQ0000 Laptop that has an HP TrueVision HD Camera. Thge webcam works with no problems at all, until I try to use it for work, this is through a Citrix connection to a Windows 10 virtual PC session. When Teams is opened within the Citrix session and I try to configure the webcam, the active light flashes on and then goes off and the Citrix Windows session cannot access the webcam.
I have checked the Citrix config and am sure that this is set correctly according to the Citrix documentation. Therefore the issue is "something else". I have read online that the Citrix system cannot access my webcam because the Windows server that creates and manages the virtual PCs does not have a suitable driver for my webcam installed and therefore it cannot decode the video data, therefore it disconnects the webcam.
Is this correct?
Is there anyway that I may resolve this issue myself? I very much doubt that the IT department will be open to installing webcam specific drivers to their server, so I'm left with a choice of either finding a solution myself or purchasing an external webcam that will work with the Citrix system.
Cheers,
Gary
