Hi Paul.  I too have been struggling to get Win10 updates for my  2 year old HP Spectre x360 Convertable 13-ae0xx.  Feel a bit let down by HP who have not updated the 'customised' driver for Intel UHD 620 Graphics driver since May 2018.  I'd like to try your suggestion to install the latest Intel driver.  It won't install as you point out using exe file.  Can you please provide instructions for installing using the zip file?  Many thanks.

Many thanks Paul for your quick response! Have now updated using your method and display seems to be working fine.  Now lets see if I can successfuly update Windows 10 from version 1803 without it rolling back as before.

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately the same update problem persists.  Windows install reaches 27% then stops and rolls back.  I notes others have reported the same problem.  Anybody have a solutions that works? Very frustrating the lose so much time on this.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try clean installing v1903, if you can reinstall all of the programs and files you need.

You can make a bootable W10 installer using the media creation tool at the link below.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Before you try it, you can use the free Macrium Reflect software and store a system image on a portable hard drive.

https://www.macrium.com/reflectfree

The software will also allow you to make a bootable rescue DVD or USB flash drive that you boot from to access the system image.

That way if the clean install doesn't work either, you can quickly go back to your current installation.
