Hey I had to get windows 10 to download .net framework 2.5, 3.0 and install the hp keyboard support driver from the hp website. I also downloaded the windows 7 driver. But once the older .net installed it worked

It is so frustrating that you guys have the link for that hotkey support driver right here, but it only leads to this messed up download search site where I have no chance in finding that driver. It's also not listed with the drivers for the EliteBook850G3. HP Support, could you please help and update that link to the right location?

OK, found it in that post:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Video-Display-and-Touch/Function-keys-not-working-to-adjust-b...

So you can download the driver here:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp85001-85500/sp85458.exe

Sad thing is, the mute button doesn't work anymore (and it did before the re-install of the machine).

The links is this solution are no longer valid.   Can someone update with current links?

And how does one "Simply change the keyboard driver to "Standard PS/2 keyboard", pray tell?

I just went to Control Panel/Device Driver/Keyboard/Update Driver......and received the message that the Standard PS/2 Driver was "already installed".......and yet....my fn 9 and 10 key presses do nothing.

Ultrabook i5, Winver 1903

Thanks for the tiniest bit of technical assistance!

If you already have the standard PS/2 keyboard driver then i suggest you try installing the latest HP Hotkey Support from https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/

An alternative would be to install "HP Support Assistant" which would scan your computer and install necessary software and patches. (https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html)
