zbook 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

to get more  speed on my ZBOOK, I replaced the HDD by a SSD.

My Windows is an official version.: Microsoft Windows 10 Familly Version 10.0.19043 Build 19043

The migration went good and everything is working fine....except the Bluetooth.

No icon present in the notification area.
In device manager, there is no Bluetooth field (see screenshot).

I swapped with the former HDD and I recovered instantly the Bluetooth : the HW is working fine as I succeded to connect an externel device.

But when the new SSD was reinstalled, the Bluetooth was again unoperable.

I checked that Windows updates are OK

I ran "HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT" : this PC is OK .

I ran "HP PC HARDWARE DIAGNOSTICS WINDOWS" : this PC is OK.

i followed the step by step troubleshooting procedure decribed in THIS VIDEO but without success

Could you please guide me in this case?

Thanks a lot

Zbook 15 has few generations with many different models/products. What is the model/product of your zbook 15 ? Do you know what is its Wifi adapter ? Please use the following way to find out the model/product of your machine

For security reason, please do NOT post its Serial number (s/n) on Internet.

Regards.

Looks like it is an HP Zbook  G2 which has one of the following wifi adapters

  • Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235 wireless LAN and bluetooth combination card - 802.11ABGN 2x2 JP2 (NMA)
  • WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n Half MiniCard (HMC) 2x2 card
  • Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 WLAN module
  • Intel dual-band Wireless-N 7260AN 802.11a/b/g/n 2x2 WiFi and BT4.0 WLAN adapter
  • 802.11 a/b/g/n 2x2 and Bluetooth 4.0 WLAN (HMC) adapter
  • Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7260NB 802.11 a/b/g/n (2x2) WiFi

Most likely it has Intel Wifi adapter. Please download and install the following driver for Bluetooth

             https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp113501-114000/sp113708.exe

Otherwise, please check its Wifi adapter then download the right one to install.

Hello Banhien,

thanks a lot for your support.

I just installed sp113708.exe and reboot but still no BlueTooth.

You wrote "Otherwise, please check its Wifi adapter then download the right one to install." : how can I do that?

Do I need to open the PC and have a look at a component?

FYI, I still have the former HDD (with who the BT function well) : can I go somewhere to find an interesting information for solving this case?

Thanks in advance

No, you can simply look at Device Manager, under Network adapter.

Good morning Banhien,

i finally succeeded, Eureka!

To do so : I installed a software spécialized in driver maintenance : SNAPPY DRIVER INSTALLER ORIGIN.

He found unistalled drivers : after just some clicks, they were installed and even without rebooting, the Bt logo appeared in the notification zone, and the BT was functioning well.

Thanks for the time you spend trying to help me.

Best regards
