Hi @1234162,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear your frustration when a printer refuses to print; it can feel like hitting a wall, especially when you need something urgently. Let’s get this sorted step by step.

Common Reasons Why HP Printers Won’t Print

  1. Connection Issues
    • Check if your printer is powered on and connected to Wi-Fi or USB.
    • If using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer and computer are on the same network.

  2. Printer Status
    • On your computer, go to Settings → Devices → Printers & Scanners and confirm your HP printer is set as Default.
    • Make sure it’s not in Offline or Paused mode.

  3. Clear Print Queue
    • Sometimes, stuck jobs block new prints.
    • Open Print Queue, cancel all jobs, and try again.

  4. Update Drivers & Firmware
    • Outdated drivers can cause printing failures.
    • Download the latest drivers from HP:

  5. Run HP App

If You’re Using the HP App

  • Open HP app → Check printer status.
  • If it shows Not Connected, reconnect using the app’s Add Printer option.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
