Hello! Can you help me?
Please, help me to understand can i upgrade my wi-fi(WLAN) module to modern adapter that support 802.11ac standard? I opened "HP Pavilion dv7 Entertainment PC" WLAN module part and saw that my laptop supports adapters only with 802.11b/g/n standard.
How can i solve this issue and install adapter with 802.11ac? And what wlan module should i buy?

Hi:
We have discovered that you can install a different wireless card not listed in the service manual for the dv6/7-7xxx notebooks with the Intel processors.
This is probably the best AC card you can get for yours. Readily available on eBay or Amazon and has support for W10.
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part # 710661-001
Do your search by the HP part number, not the model of the card...
If you don't have an Intel 2230 wlan card in there now, make sure that you uninstall the current wifi card and driver, shut down the PC, unplug the adapter, remove the battery, before removing and replacing the current wifi card you have now, to avoid driver conflicts.

You're very welcome.
Please post back and let us know how your wireless card upgrade went.
We like to keep a record of this information to help others with similar models, so we can offer links to forum posts where folks have successfully upgraded the wifi cards in this model series.

Thanks.
Here is an old post where someone shows the 7260AC works in the 7000 models...

Anytime.
Since you have the Broadcom card with bluetooth, it is important that you also uninstall the Broadcom bluetooth software and driver in the device manager and in the programs section of the control panel.
If you don't there will be a driver conflict with the bluetooth.
One other person didn't do that and his device manager still showed the Broadcom Bluetooth hardware for some crazy reason.
Then he had to uninstall the software in the programs section of the control panel and restart the PC.
Anyway, save yourself any problems and uninstall that before you remove the Broadcom card.

I understand you, thank you for having warned me!
How do you think, is it okay if i'll buy this card on aliexpress:
I chose it because it's more suitable for me as a delivery.

I think it will be OK.
I just like to recommend the cards with the HP part numbers on them to make sure they will work.
Some websites show the 7260 model card with warnings...not for Lenovo or HP notebooks.
Since I can't read Russian, as long as it doesn't say that on the website you posted, you should be fine.
