I upload windows 10 on this notebook, and all of a sudden wifi disappeared. After that I got a fan error code and replaced the fan. Now I only have ethernet. Is there something I did to the hardware when putting the laptop back together OR has windows 10 removed it and it needs to be put back. Under device manager I only have ethernet, no wifi adapter listed.
Can someone help?

Hi @vic4455,
Thanks for becoming a member of the HP Support Forums. I understand you are having an issue with the WiFi connection. I will be glad to help you.
I would double check all the connection inside the computer.
Here is a link to download the latest drivers for Realtek RTL8723BE/RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Drivers.
Please keep me informed of how things went.
If you require further assistance, let me know and I will gladly do all I can to help you.

Thanks....I had pulled that motherboard out three times, but had ignored the wifi chip. It got caught easily under the board and did not cause a bind or anything that gave it attention to a problem...oops
I identified it with the wifi symbol underneath on the casing, that helped because before I believed it was part of the harddrive setup.
once I removed the hold down screw I realized what I had missed.
Also I did need the driver, once I fixed my mistake I then downloaded the driver and "Voila" wireless lan again.
Thanks for the "double check" ; )
