I upgraded to win10 pro on my 4530s and also had major issues.  Everything looked good during upgrade but once done startup took three times as long as win8.1.  Also, computer would freeze every few minutes and keyboard and mouse would not work.  It would clear after about 30 seconds and then do it again after a few minutes.

Fortunately i did a full disk image before the upgrade and have now gone back to win8.1 until i see more posts with similar issues and hopefully updated drivers that will solve the issue.

i upgrade windows 10 few days , Intel Video Graphics 3000 not working even windows update keeps downloading the updates and installing them. i even restart my HP Probook 4530s a hell lot of times but all in vein. when i check in device manager display adpaters it appears "Microsoft basic adpater display". it means video drivers not install yet. even windows update downloaded and install couple of times. i also checked my update history , the update of Intel graphics video 3000 where it is mention as "succesfully installed"

Its 2nd time i turned back to windows 10 from windows 8.1. Much annoying, please tell me the solution.

Hi,

I wish to upgrade my ProBook 4530s from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and later on do a Clean Install of Windows 10.

Unfortunately I do not see any driver and HP software for Windows 10 so far. HP still stopped to Windows 7.

Here is what is offered:

Please let me know.

Thank you

I upgraded from 7 to 10 without issues. After the upgrade completed I went into Device Manager right clicked on the Display adapters and ran "Update Driver software". This downloaded the new radeon and intel drivers.

The only issue I was having was slow booting. It had also been booting slow in Windows 7, so I decided to do a clean install of 10.  The clean install went through without problems, and I used Device Manager to update the driver software again.  The problem I now have is that the boot is even slower than on the upgraded version.  It takes about 45 seconds to boot, thats on an i7 with an SSD. I was expecting about 5 seconds.  There are long periods during the boot where the screen is just blank and there is no hard drive activity.

Booting in safe mode is almost instant, so I suspect a full boot is trying to load a driver that it doesn't like. I'm going to try and track it down.

Hi Byejason,

I was able to find an SSD and replaced it to current HD. I installed Windows 10 Pro.

1. I updated BIOS to latest version: F.60 Rev.A (31 mar 2015)

2. To boot it takes about 8 seconds. Same or similar to shut down.

3. To suspend the device it takes about 4 seconds.

4. Here is a list of device manager:

Devices.png

I was able through updates to get most of devices recognized except for 4 devices which I will list here.

ACPI\VEN_HPQ&DEV_0004
ACPI\HPQ0004
*HPQ0004

I believe this is "HP 3D DriveGuard"

USB\VID_138A&PID_003C&REV_0086
USB\VID_138A&PID_003C

I believe this is "Validity Sensor Driver"

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2393&SUBSYS_167C103C&REV_30
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2393&SUBSYS_167C103C
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2393&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2393&CC_0880
I believe this is "Base System Device"

PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&SUBSYS_167C103C&REV_30
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&SUBSYS_167C103C
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_197B&DEV_2392&CC_0880

I believe this is "Base System Device"

Where do I find and download all HP drivers, software and addons" when HP offers only those up to  Windows 8.1?

Drivers/software like: Chipset and mostly HP Finger Scan Security?

How to find out what those 4 missing devices are and how to solve this issue?

Hi,

I wish to give some updates on my testing.

1. Logitech M555b mouse through bluetooth connection does work but is very imprecise lagging a lot. I tried to also install Logitech drivers but it did not resolve the problem.

I do not know if this is Windows 10 issue, bluetooth driver being Microsoft and not HP........

I do not know how to solve this issue.

2. I was able to install Windows 8.1 Validity Sensor Driver and see it now under devices but I do not know how to make it to work.

3. After I installed a driver now, when I boot up the OS I have about 1.20minutes of delay before I see Windows logon screen. In the past it took about 8 seconds. So, I confirm what byejason was saying.

I simply believe this laptop is NOT ready for Windows 10 and really hope HP will indeed provide drivers for this model. It would be very very kind of HP to at least notify if they intend releasing drivers for Windows 10 or not so that users do not have to go crazy for trying installing Windows 10.

I hope my work is of any help...

Spiro

Ok, based on another thread I decided to waste my time and install AGAIN Windows 10; I am more convinced that this is too premature until HP will officially release Windows 10 drivers!!! Why do I say so? Simply because until this will be done we will always be beta testers 😞

1. I tried Windows Update Troubleshooting Tool and nothing happened.

Here is a screenshot of it:

07.png

2. I tried FIngerprint scanner software and Windows did not even let me install it.

Here is a screenshot of it:

This is showing that the software is NOT compatible with this version of OS as Event Viewer states. I translate from Italian: "Unable to install the application "HP SimplePass". It is not compatible with this version of Windows. Please contact the producer of this application for an update"

3. I tired to install and run HP Support Assistant but nothing happened too.

Here is a screenshot of it: 05.png

Now, I confirm that bluetooth Mouse, even when I installed Logitech Driver is not precise at all and lags a lot. I tried to connect a USB cabled mouse and it works perfectly. So the touchpad. So this is another issue still to solve.

I confirm that after I applied initial Windows Updated OS takes about 45 secs to boot while before it took about 5 secs. There must be something that forces Windows to go into timeout (I guess). This needs to be solved.

I noticed that MOST of drivers are Microsoft rather than HP. I believe this is why the laptop does not run fine. It is easy for Microsoft to state "you have a free upgrade...." BUT the real issue is not Microsoft: it is HP! Until HP does not release full list official dirvers for Windows 10 nothing will every work!

Here some screenshots of HP Support Assistant showing drivers:

SO, having reported this, still having 4 devices not being recognized, having bluetooth mouse not properly working, having most of drivers Microsoft Signed, having about 45sec boot delay, and so on HOW CAN WE EVEN THINK OF INSTALLING WINDOWS 10???????

This prooves that just because Microsoft says something it does not mean that it translates into real actions.

The key point here is ONLY HP. Nobody else!!!

Also, if HP tech support states "All drivers for Windows 8 should work fine for Windows 10" why does not HP release and sign directly all those drivers for Windows 10????

THIS IS WHAT WE NEED:

 Win10.png

PLEASE HP TECH HURRY UP AND NOT LET US BE BETA TESTER.

As an update: i had gotten Windows Flash Drive, they refunded my money because they agreed with my reasoning, you mess it up you can fix it for free of charge. So i had enough i couldnt deal with it until the other day. So HP in turn told me to call Microsoft because they couldnt help me with the booting error. Come to find out that the flash drive didnt even work. So i called Microsoft, on the chat of answer with a tech. I was on that for like 3 hours.  The guy first argued with me telling me that Microsoft doesnt sell flash drives and i must have bought it from a 3rd party.  Actually i beg to differ and heres the link showing your wrong. Nothing bothers me more than being im told that i dont know something. So then they told me that i could buy the downloadable version for $120, nope sorry you obviously do not get the you break it you should buy it concept. After getting permission to go around this they did a remote in and started downloadling stuff and he said that the system security that comes with it is not compatible with Windows 10 so he had to remove it. Once it was removed he restarted the computer and the popup box came back on, i asked him if he was there and within 15 min he ended the whole conversation, so i dont really know what was left what wasnt left and im not really in the mood to start another whole conversation just yet.  So ive been dealing with everyday i open my computer to another daily dose of lets update! Hope you guys are having more luck than i am, my husband wants to eventually put linux on the computer, so that may have to be the way we go.
